Invest in Success! The General Assembly is the legislative body of Lambda Chi Alpha that deliberates and votes on proposals to change our laws and elects members of the Grand High Zeta. Our laws require that 75% of the voting power at any General Assembly must be held by our undergraduate members, and this year marked the 59th Assembly and the first in-person event in four years where members could do just that.  The Stead Leadership Seminar, which kicked off along with the General Assembly, provided an educational experience for hundreds of Brothers, designed to help them grow and develop, both personally and professionally. This year we invested in the High Kappas, with an introduction and training on the new Ideal Man Program, which will launch to the Global Zeta this Fall.

“You have to invest in your Brothers’ success, and you have to let them pour into you so they can invest in your success as well.” -Jeff Stuerman, 25th Grand High Alpha

59th General Assembly:

  • Following the example set in 2021 with the virtual General Assembly, the Alumni Conference and the Legislative Committees did their work in advance, freeing up valuable in-person time for networking and other programming.
  • Grand High Alpha Jeff Stuerman completed his 4-year term, and he handed the gavel to our new Grand High Alpha, Steve Pattison. Two new Grand High Zeta members, Mike Brady and Paul Troy, were elected to the Board.
  • Delegates received a firsthand look at some incredible initiatives coming soon, such as the Leadership Skills Certification Academy and the Ideal Man program, both designed to prepare our men for life after graduation.

2022 Stead Leadership Seminar:

  • This Stead Leadership Seminar was focused on preparing the High Kappa as Lambda Chi Alpha launches Learning Journey 1 of Ideal Man to the Global Zeta this fall.
  • High Kappas were trained on the full scope of the Ideal Man program, including the Implementation Guide, Course Catalog, suggested timeline for use with Fraternity Education, and spent time accessing the program via LambdaOnline.
  • High Kappas were also trained on facilitation skills, learned to write lesson plans, and practiced facilitating a variety of educational topics to increase their competence in this area.
  • High Kappas were led in small groups by trained staff and volunteer facilitators, and were able to interact with High Kappas from other chapters to idea-share and work together on a plan to implement Ideal Man with their local Zeta.
