International Headquarters: Staff Additions and Promotion
Under the direction of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity CEO Bill Farkas, the International Headquarters announces the following staff changes: Justin Fisher is the new Director of Chapter Services; Alyssa Gilles is promoted to the new position of Director of Risk Management and Education; and, Dave Walthius is added to the new position of Director of Expansion. All three will also serve as members of the IHQ Executive Management Team.
“In an effort to continue to address the challenging nature of educating and impacting our collegiate members and expanding our reach, adding these three talented individuals into key management roles will help Lambda Chi Alpha strive to achieve its goals in 2018 and beyond,” Farkas said. “I’m very grateful to each of them for stepping up at a time when our fraternity needs their commitment and passion and leadership.”
Justin Fisher, Director of Chapter Services — Justin previously served on staff in 2016 as the associate director of harm reduction. During his time away, Justin volunteered on the Alumni Advisory Board for our Alpha-Omicron chapter at Indiana University. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Justin’s new responsibilities include directing the educational leadership consultant program and ensuring overall health and consistent development of the collegiate members, chapters and colonies. Alyssa Gilles, Director of Risk Management & Education — In 2015, Alyssa joined the staff as the chapter conduct coordinator and was then promoted to associate director of harm reduction and senior associate director of chapter services. Alyssa earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and a master’s degree in student affairs and higher education from Indiana State University. In her new role, her responsibilities include the management of chapter incidents, administration of chapter conduct, insurance inquiries, and supervision of member education programs. Dave Walthius, Director of Expansion — For the past two years, Dave has served as the associate director of fraternity and sorority life at Clemson University. As a volunteer for Lambda Chi, he has served as a master steward and Alumni Advisory Board member for the colony at Coastal Carolina University. Dave earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree in higher education from Indiana State University. In his new role, he will be responsible for expansion and colonization of new and dormant chapters. Previously, he served on staff as an educational leadership consultant.
