On April 16, 2016 the men of the Embry-Riddle Prescott Colony arrived at a milestone 566 days in the making. On Aug. 28, 2014, thirteen students came together to form the colony and this past Saturday, 28 members and countless alumni and guests came together to recognize the official start of Pi-Xi Zeta.
The night was a momentous one for the chapter because in addition to earning their charter, the chapter earned Embry-Riddle’s inaugural Chapter of the Year award and one of three Karl Krapek Values grants, presented by the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation.
Speakers for the evening included Prescott Chancellor Dr. Frank Ayers, Greek Director Charles Zellar, High Pi for the chapter, John Jenkins, Brother Bill Ryan, High Pi of Pi-Beta Zeta and a founder of the Sigma-Phi Zeta at Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach, and Grand High Kappa Scott Reikofski.
All of these speakers highlighted the accomplishments that this chapter has achieved so far and how there is much yet to do. As Pi-Xi Zeta continues it has plenty of potential to be a leader on campus and in Lambda Chi Alpha.
