YES! Naming a CSF is a great way to recognize a generous donor, dedicated alumnus, key faculty advisor or dedicated brother who has passed.
There is no minimum.
Educational space and educational equipment. In general, once a legal opinion is issued, grants can fund the educational percentage the space. For example, if your chapter house costs $1,000,000 and the educational percentage is 40%, then a CSF can fund up to $400,000 in grants. See Fraternal Law’s info sheet for more information.
If the Chapter is closed, the CSF shall remain open for a maximum period of 7 years, accruing any appreciation and undistributed income in the interim. Each grant requires a grant request to be completed. A member of the staff is happy to answer any of your questions about the process, or about what a CSF can support.
Alumni, friends, parents, even undergraduates can help. Contact a member of the Foundation staff for more ideas.

If the chapter has a house, a temporarily restricted fund could be a good idea. There’s even a fund type that allows house corporations to fund educational of chapter house operating costs.
