Congratulations to Our Two New Chapter Re-Charterings: South Dakota State and Syracuse
On Oct. 15, two colonies were re-installed as chapters and received their charters from the General Fraternity: Lambda-Theta at South Dakota State University and Alpha-Upsilon at Syracuse University.
The South Dakota State chartering was held at the Hobo Day Gallery of The Union in Brookings, South Dakota. Lambda Chi Alpha’s CEO Bill Farkas attended the event and presented the chapter with their charter. Several of the founders from the chapter’s original chartering in 1968 were also in attendance, including former South Dakota State University President David Chicoine.
At the Syracuse chartering, Fletcher McElreath, Lambda Chi Alpha’s Chairman of the Board, attended the event and presented the chapter with their charter. The chapter currently has nearly 70 undergraduate members. Alpha-Upsilon was originally installed as chapter in 1918 and has been dormant since 1997.
